The Irish Family History Society, established in 1984, is based in Ireland and has a worldwide membership of which two thirds are overseas.The Society is for those who are looking to trace their Irish roots.

The IFHS is a voluntary, non profitmaking organisation. One of our objectives is to help members to do their own research through information and advice.

The IFHS is a constituent member of the Council of Irish Genealogical Organisations, the Federation of Local History Societies and an associate member of the Federation of Family History Societies
